April 23rd, 2007 by Stanislav Bozhkov
Here it is - this month’s Blog Carnival. After lots of reading and searching the network I’ve collected a new dozen of valuable posts. As everybody knows not every single blog post on the globe deserves a read up. That’s why I’m trying to weed out those that are not so useful. So, as a result I’ve compiled this Blog Carnival. I believe that most of these posts deserve a browse. Have a nice reading!

- Twitter starting to get de-Railed - Twitter starting to get de-Railed - On this post is questioned the scalability of Rails applications. This question has also been asked to David Heinemeier Hansson. Moreover there’s a small discussion on the problem of scaling Twitter. It’s worth to give this post a read.
- A “facility in Rails to talk to more than one database at a time” - Dr.Nic has writen a great plugin to enable our Rails applications to talk to more than one database. Moreover he has written a nice tutor how things work. Good work!
The Enterprise View
- Ruby on Rails in enterprise - Here there’s an interesting view about using Rails framework in the enterprise. It is presented also a short list of pros and cons. I think that Roman Mackovcak has written a valuable post.
- 5 Mistakes You Should Know before using Ruby on Rails in Your Company - On this post Frederic Brunel has shared experience about the difficulties that he has faced in the company he works for. It’s really worth to check this mistakes and beware of them.
- Ruby on Rails in State Government - on this post Thomas Beck gives 3 reasons why and 3 why-not Rails will cope with government applications. In my view scalability could be a bottle neck, however it always depends. Go and read this post by yourself :).
